Filing state income tax.
Updated: 11/20/02
It is necessary in most of the states to file state income tax. However, in some
states if your total income is under certain amount it is your choice to file.
If based on your tax return, you have a refund to be returned to you, you
probably may wish to file the return. The above is true in most of the cases, if
you are a resident of a particular state. On the other hand, if you are a
non-resident, most of your exemptions and deductions are limited or disallowed,
which means you have to pay more to State Treasury. In any case, when we calculate
an estimate of your taxes we will let you know what is better in your interest.
If you find any mistakes or dead links we would appreciate if you would report
to us. We apologize for any inconvenience.
